An article can look correct in a browser while sending conflicting indexing signals. The daily canonical route check verifies the public route as a system, not only as a page preview.
Request the final URL
Use the canonical production hostname and record the status code. Follow redirects separately so an unexpected chain is visible. Confirm that the route is the intended lowercase, hyphenated URL.
Inspect the page signals
The canonical link should resolve to the page itself on the same production domain. Check the visible date, structured publication date, page title, content family, and primary image. View source or rendered HTML according to how the site produces metadata.
Confirm discovery paths
Open the Blog or Research index and find the article. Then locate it in the appropriate sitemap. A successful route without index or sitemap membership is an incomplete release under this routine.
Look for identity collisions
Compare the title, slug, and opening text with other articles in the batch. Reused scaffolding is fine; duplicated identity is not. Make sure a Blog item was not accidentally added to the Research loader or vice versa.
Save exact evidence
