Structured data can compile correctly and still describe the wrong page. A daily spot-check should compare the rendered record with what a visitor sees.
Inspect the production response
Open the canonical route, locate the Article or BlogPosting JSON-LD, and parse it as JSON. Confirm the headline, description, datePublished, author or publisher, mainEntityOfPage, and image belong to that route.
Compare visible and machine-readable facts
The visible publication date must match datePublished. The canonical URL and structured main page URL should be the same self-referencing address. Request the declared image directly and check that it returns a successful image response.
Treat warnings carefully
Separate invalid syntax and wrong identity from optional-field suggestions. Fix objective errors immediately. Escalate policy choices, such as how modification dates are presented, to the site owner instead of silently changing editorial history.
Save the route, check time, and failing field. This bounded record makes structured-data QA part of the daily SEO routine without turning it into a speculative ranking exercise.
