Maintain an Editorial Source Change Watch

Not every citation needs daily review. A source change watch concentrates attention on references that support high-impact or time-sensitive claims.

Rank sources by consequence

Give priority to official documentation, regulations, pricing, product behavior, and benchmark definitions used across several pages. A changed decorative example is less urgent than a changed eligibility rule.

Capture a stable reference

Store the source URL, access date, page section, and the claim it supports. Where permitted, keep a short note describing the relevant evidence. Do not rely on a search snippet as the source record.

Review changes cautiously

A modified page does not always invalidate a claim. Compare the relevant passage and context, then label the result as unchanged, clarified, contradicted, or unavailable. Escalate contradictions before editing dependent articles.

Update the dependency list

When a source changes, identify every route using the affected claim. Assign owners and verification dates. This turns citation maintenance into controlled work instead of scattered emergency edits.
