Marketing Dashboard Owner Handoff

By BusinessGrowthAssistant Editorial Team••1 min read

A dashboard handoff is complete only when the new owner can maintain it and recognize when the numbers need investigation. Access alone does not transfer understanding.

Explain the purpose

Document the decisions the dashboard supports, the audience, and the review cadence. Remove tiles that do not inform a decision. Link each important metric to its definition and source.

Demonstrate the routine

Show how to refresh data, check date ranges, compare periods, and record exceptions. Use the marketing dashboard setup guide as a companion for the operating checklist.

Set escalation rules

Define which changes are routine, which need a second review, and which require the business owner. Include tracking failures, missing data, unexpected shifts, and access problems.

Accept the handoff

The receiving owner runs one supervised cycle, records the output, and confirms open questions. Save the owner, source, cadence, checks, and next review date with the dashboard documentation.
