Related-content modules are easy to overlook because templates generate them automatically. A quick review ensures the suggestions still form a useful reading path.
Read the three destinations
Open each suggested article and state the question it answers. At least one should deepen the current task; another may cover a prerequisite or operational next step. Shared category labels alone do not guarantee relevance.
Check route health and identity
Confirm each destination is live, canonical, and visibly different from the new page. Watch for a newly published batch crowding older but more useful guidance out of the module.
Record a content-model gap
If the automated choices repeatedly miss reader needs, document examples for the template owner. Do not manually distort article categories just to influence one module. The classification should remain truthful.
This loop turns related links into an editorial surface rather than decorative navigation. It also reveals where the library has strong coverage and where the reader reaches a dead end.
